The candidates should have passed 10+2 stage examination or its equivalent in any academic stream with English as compulsory subject. Candidates can also apply provisionally, subject to the condition that they should produce the proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission. All provisional admissions will stand cancelled if the proof of having passed the qualifying examination 10+2 or its equivalent is not submitted by the due date of joining the Institute.

English is the medium of instruction for the HM programme at the Institute. Candidates who are weak in English but are otherwise meritorious and eligible for admission make up the deficiency on their own.

Admission to the three year diploma course is through entrance test by Central admission Committee by The Director Technical Education, Haryana.

Admission to the craftsman ship courses is purely on the basis of merit in 10+2 exams

Age  ( for craft courses only. Relax able by 3 years for s.c. candidates only.

The candidate should not be more than 22 years of age as on 01 July of the year of admission.  The date of birth recorded in the matriculation or equivalent examination certificate will be considered authentic.

Reservation

1. All India open seats (AIO)

    15% of the seats in all the courses in the institute shall complrise of all india open category. The admission against this category shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination i.e. 10+2. The candidates who are Haryana Residents are also entitled for admission against this category seats.

2. STATE QUOTA (SQ):- The State Quota would be as under:-

    a) State Quota in the Govt. Institutes is 85% of the seats,

    b) The Candidates who are Haryana Residents as per the instructions of chief Seceratory only are entitled to get against state quota seats.

    c) 50% of the State Quota seats of the Govt. Institute shall be reserved for various reserved categories as per instructions of Haryana Govt. as detailed below:-

In event of the state quota reserved for physically handicapped remaining unutilised due to non availability of  suitable category of physically handicapped candidates, it will be offered to ESM and their wards(1%) and dependents of freedom fighter (1%) The reservation policy of the Govt. of Haryana in force at the time of counselling shall be followed.
